ABOUT ESL STEEL LIMITED .

ESL is an integrated steel producer with a greenfield manufacturing facility in Bokaro, Jharkhand, India, which is currently commissioned at a capacity of 2.5 MT per annum. The facility primarily consists of sinter plants, coke oven, blast furnaces, oxygen plant, basic oxygen furnaces, billet caster, wire rod mill, bar mill, ductile iron pipes plant and a power plant.

The company's product range includes pig iron, billets, TMT bars, wire rods and ductile iron pipes. It recently introduced its rebranded product range in the market under three new brands, V-DUCPIPE for DI pipes, V-XEGA for TMT bars and V-WIRRO for wire rods.

ESL has established excellence in every stage of production by bringing international expertise and solutions from reputed manufacturers. The company is expanding horizons and pushing boundaries, both in its existing and future endeavours while providing continuous growth, profit and prosperity to all its stakeholders.

MR. ASHISH KUMAR GUPTA

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ashish Kumar Gupta has been the CEO & Whole Time Director of ESL Steel Limited since 1st Oct 2022.

With an overall experience of 28 years, he has worked with leading organizations Like Tata Steel and TMILL (Subsidiary of Tata Steel) as the Managing Director. He has extensive experience in Operations- Maintenance Technology, Safety, SPC and TQM in India and abroad.

Mr. Ashish is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee (1993 batch) and has completed the General Management Program from XLRI, Jamshedpur and CEDEP (INSEAD), France.

He joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1993 and worked in various positions in steel plant operations from 1993 to 2008. He was the Head of Operations and Maintenance in Cold Rolling Mill from 2002 to 2008. This was followed by a stint as Financial Controller (Head, Business Analysis), in the Flat Products division, from 2008 to 2009. From 2009 to 2017, he managed the logistics for Tata Steel.

He has worked in the capacity of a Managing Director for TMILL (Tata Steel JV), Chairman of TKM India and ISL, Dubai, which are subsidiaries of TMILL in areas of Freight, forwarding and Shipping, respectively. He was also a Board Member of Tata NYK, Singapore.
